Corporation for Supportive Housing: CSH’s mission is to help communities create permanent housing with services to prevent and end homelessness. In coordination with broader national efforts to end homelessness, CSH will help communities create 150,000 units of supportive housing during the next decade.

Fairfield County Housing Collaborative: FCHC is a newly formed collaboration that includes the Fairfield County Community Foundation, Near & Far Aid Association, Citibank and the United Way of Eastern Fairfield County with the specific purpose of helping to increase the inventory of affordable and supportive housing in the state of Connecticut.

Local Initiative Support Corporation: LISC is a national non-profit corporation dedicated to supporting community-based development that will transform distressed neighborhoods and build stronger communities. Through the Connecticut Statewide program, LISC provides capital and technical expertise to local non-profit developers to create affordable housing, homeownership, commercial and community facilities.

Melville Charitable Trust: The Melville Trust concentrates its efforts on finding and fighting the causes of homelessness. They support service and housing programs in Connecticut that can serve as models throughout the country. The Trust actively collaborates with a growing network of individuals and groups both public and private to build communities where every adult and child has a place to call home.

National Equity Fund: The federal low income housing tax credit
program was established in 1986 to encourage private investment in affordable rental housing. LISC’s affiliate, National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF), is the nation’s largest nonprofit syndicator of these credits, providing equity capital for multifamily housing projects. Since 1987, NEF has been involved in developing 1,300 affordable housing developments in 250 urban communities and rural areas.
